Photo Dump | Life Lately

Catching up on photos I missed over the last 2 months with a gigantic photo dump of life lately.

We love the Hutchens and Camden loves them too. He thinks Luke is hilarious and cackles at everything he does.

Is there anything cuter than baby dimples and a hat?

Safe to say Camden is obsessed with his Pappy.

Camden loves riding his little trike as well as the car at Pizza Inn. I can't believe he is big enough for these.

We love getting daycare pictures. The pirate day pictures made me laugh so hard.

Family is everything. Camden has really started to notice his family and I love that he recognizes them now. He loves his Mimi, Lulu, Pappy, and Papa Al so much. He lights up every time he sees them. He also loves his aunts and uncles. Hopefully I can catch up on pictures with everybody soon.

He loves to sit in the front seat with me when we have to kill time in a parking lot. He especially loves my keys and the steering wheel.

He loves his brother so very much.

We loved celebrating Hudson's first birthday. Hard to believe Camden will be 1 in 3 short months.

He also loved celebrating Anna Blake's birthday.

He likes to suck on his bottom lip and it is the cutest thing ever.

One Friday night Camden was tired so we made a little pallet for him in the living room and he loved laying on Mama's pillow and watching TV.

It melted my heart when his daddy got in the floor to lay with him. They laid like that for a while.

Another hospital stay for me this month and it was sure nice when I got back home to my baby.

Lulu's team is going to the World Series so we had to represent by wearing Boston attire to daycare.

Testing out his new car seat.

Wearing some Halloween attire. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he wasn't very scary.

Working on his ROAR for Halloween. I told him he had to stop smiling if he wanted to be a ferocious lion but he wasn't interesting in being ferocious.

And that's a wrap on life lately.

Camden's First Pumpkin Patch

Taking my baby to the pumpkin patch is another one of those moments I dreamed of last year and I can't believe it is our reality this year. Craw and I would always go and pick out a pumpkin in years past but we never did the actual hayride/fall things. This year, I knew I wanted to take Camden so I ended up taking him on a Saturday when Craw was out of town.

I promise to share the good and the bad in this space so I'm going to be REAL honest. IT WAS NOT LIKE I DREAMED. The first mistake was taking Camden by myself. We did meet Kat and AB out there but I didn't have extra hands to help with Camden since Kat was doing things with AB. The second mistake was wearing fall clothes on a 90-95 degree day. It was HOT. The third mistake was not taking my stroller. I had to physically carry Camden everywhere we went and it was tough because HELLO...he's 22 pounds. By the end, he was tired, I was tired, and we CRASHED. However, I did get some really good pictures that we can look back on and smile and remember the memories we created.

I'm hoping to go to the pumpkin patch one more time before the season ends so that Craw can go with us. The temps have cooled off some so I think it will be a much better experience. I really do love creating new memories with Camden and I at least have some really awesome pictures to show for our time at the pumpkin patch. Camden also took home a small pumpkin that he LOVES rolling all over the house.

Welcome to the world, Avery Alice

Avery Alice
September 26, 2018
11:10 PM
7 pounds 7 ounces
20 inches

Craw and I are Aunt and Uncle to the most precious niece in the world. Her birth was an adventure for sure. Craw and I got to the hospital around 3:00 pm to await the arrival of our first niece. We knew it may be a long night but we were prepared. In the end, it didn't work out for us to see her the day she was born but that's okay because we got to see her the next day and she was a perfect angel.

Casey and Danielle told us they were expecting while we were in Florida to get Camden. Casey called us on FaceTime and said "I love how you look as a dad so I decided I wanted to be one myself." It was so perfect and also crazy to think in ONE week we went from no babies to 2 babies in the fam. We all wondered what little Avery would be and in May we found out she would be a GIRL! That was fun for sure as there are very few girls in Craws family. In fact, only one girl grandbaby.

I love that Camden and Avery will grow up so close in age. Family is everything to us so we love Avery as if she were our own. We are so excited for the holidays this year and I'm already planning out matching Christmas Eve pajamas for them. Camden hasn't taken too much interest in Avery yet but he LOVES to play with her toys when he visits Aunt D and Uncle Case. Also, Avery and Camden look strikingly similar as newborns. That is a God thing for sure.

We love you, sweet Avery!

Camden Ivey | Nine Months

It's been a while and I have definitely been slacking on this space. The past month was a crazy one for sure but life sure is fun with our sweet boy. I can't believe we are in the last single digit month. As sad as that sounds, each day is more exciting than the day before and seeing Camden's personality is the best part of each day. Our boy is a HOOT and is sure to make everyone around him laugh at his crazy sounds and faces that he makes.

Weight

He is 22.6 pounds. We moved up to size 4 diapers 2 weeks ago because the size 3's were getting too snug.

Eat

I feel like he made leaps and bounds in the eating department this month. I had some serious fears when it came to feeding him real food but this month I started letting him have more and more things off of my plate. He now eats 3 meals a day with at least one of those being puree. Daycare has also started working with him on food so he loves to eat pancakes, veggies, fruits, etc. We are still careful with the meats we give him and he has only had chicken, eggs, and turkey. His favorite foods are bananas, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, squash, pickles, BREAD, goldfish, and yogurt melts. He also loves water and is really starting to get the hang of a sippy cup. He still gets 4 bottles of formula a day.

Sleep

He has slept great this month. It is starting to stay darker in the mornings and that definitely helps him sleep a little later. Some mornings he may wake up between 5-6 and just lay in his crib and then sometimes he will sleep until 6-7. We definitely don't mind and I'm so thankful he is over the 8 month regression. He also puts himself to sleep at night. Sometimes he will cry for 2 minutes but he is usually asleep within 5 minutes of laying him in his crib. Daycare told me their favorite thing about Camden is that when he gets tired, he lets you know and you better find a crib fast.
HE is his MAMAS BOY!

Milestones

Camden has 8 teeth now. I feel like they multiplied over night and he has 4 on top and 4 on bottom. This month was HUGE as far as walking/scaling furniture. He is on the MOVE and we have to watch him carefully. He will now walk while pushing his walker. It's so cute because he loves to walk on his tip toes. I have a feeling he will be officially walking within a month or two. He started clapping this month and it is so cute. He also finally said MAMA. He still doesn't say mama and dada on command but he will say it while babbling.

Likes

He loves to clap his hands and will even clap when he cries. He also loves to make sounds and pat his mouth with his hand. He LOVES his brother and it is so funny to watch the two of them interact. Hank spends majority of his mornings trying to escape Camden's hands from patting him to death. Camden also likes music and has started dancing up and down. His favorite toy this month was his little pumpkin and he would roll it around everywhere he went. He also loves mama's keys and we have to carefully hide them from his sight or he will scream. Another favorite this month was a wash cloth. He is obsessed with sucking on it while taking a bath.

Dislikes

It's safe to say our boy has a bit of a temper. It's so hard not to laugh at him when he does his squealing because he's mad that we took something away from him. He also started this grunting thing this month where he grunts when he doesn't like something. Diaper changes aren't his favorite right now and it sometimes takes 2 people to hold him down.

Clothes

He is in 9 month clothes and will soon be in 12 month pajamas. I just packed most of his 6 month stuff away. We have also been transitioning to fall clothes and he is so cute wearing a jacket.

Camden Ivey, you are my favorite! I don't know how your daddy and I got so lucky but all I can say is we are blessed. Even when your attitude starts to show, we are still obsessed with you. I know for a fact that God has a big purpose for your life and you are going to do BIG things one day. In fact, you already are. You have changed so many people's lives and I can't wait to share some of the stories with you one day. You are our greatest blessing. We love you sweet boy.
