Summer Part II: July & August

Summer is officially over and I am finally getting around to posting our pictures from July and August. I feel like summer was a complete blur and I cannot believe we are now at the end of October. July was a tough month for our family as we were pretty much sick the entire month. I pray we never have a month like that again. Get ready for picture overload.

We kicked off July 4th by hanging out with friends in the morning and spending time with family in the afternoon.  We still didn't see fireworks this year but I think he will be able to hang for them next year.

The great thing about this summer was that Camden got to do a lot of swimming.  We were not able to get him in lessons this summer but I'm hoping he can take some swim lessons next summer.

We went to Vegas for the week after July 4th and I've already blogged that post.  As soon as we got back home, we packed up and headed to the lake for the day with our friends.  This is the first year we haven't stayed the entire weekend but with coming home from Vegas, we knew our bodies needed rest. It's a good thing we did because I was hospitalized 2 days later.

Cam had a blast riding the jet ski with daddy.

Our friends came to see us from Louisiana and it was so good to see them.

The next day, I started breaking out in hives. I went to the ER thinking I needed a steroid shot but I ended up being admitted due to an extremely high white count. Turns out I had contracted the enterovirus and it was wreaking havoc on my body.  It was the first time I have ever been hospitalized due to a virus but with my Crohns meds, I have a compromised immune system so I didn't have the power to fight off the virus. I was in the hospital for 2 days but it took about a month for me to recover from what it did to my body. The day I came home from the hospital, Camden came home sick and then Craw got it that weekend so July was a bad month for us.

We spent a weekend in Edenton with Craw's family and it was the best weekend. We loved watching Camden and Avery play together and we had the best view you could ever dream of when the sun was setting.

The first Saturday of August, we went to Marbles museum with my mom and sister. Camden had a BLAST and we were all worn out by the end.

These are the pictures Craw sends when its a Daddy/Son dinner.

Craw went to Pinehurst for the weekend so I went with Camden and my parents to the beach. We had a blast even though the weather was a bit yucky.

Cam loves his new Ikea table.

Summer Part I: May & June

We had the best summer but it sure was busy. I'm extremely behind on updating the blog with summer pictures so I'm going to break them up with multiple posts. These are all pictures from the fun we had in May & June.

Uncle Coop graduated from NC State back in May and we took Camden to his graduation. Camden surprised us by doing very good at graduation and I only had to take him out at the very end.

Little Baby Bum, snacks, and headphones kept him busy.

This boy loves a lawn mower and has to ride every single time his daddy cuts the grass.

My second Mothers Day was special and I got my number one request: A NAP!

Camden LOVED going to his daddy's softball games and playing with friends.

Running the bases before the game started.

They had a good season and they won a game. This is a BIG DEAL since they just formed the team last year. Very proud of Connect Church.

As I expected, he picked up right where he left off last summer when it comes to swimming. This boy is a FISH in the water.

We enjoyed grilling with friends and these three are going to be the best of friends as they grow up. Eva is such a great friend to the littles.

Spending time with his cousin, Avery. They have both grown so much this year.

FATHERYS DAY WEEKND

For Father's Day, we celebrated with Craws dad on Saturday night. We ended up going to Carolina Ale house and they were having a fun event outside for children so we let Cam join in on the fun. He loved the water slide and lets just say I ended up covered in mud.

The next day we celebrated with my family. We took Cam swimming and we had so much fun just being together.

Date night at Ruths Chris for Kelly's birthday.
